Snow Squad

Do your kids love skiing or snowboarding? Are they looking to improve so they can ride with their friends. Tawatinaw Valley offers three session ski camps.  These sessions are not for learn to ski but for novice and above. Our professional instructors will tune up their sliding skills while having fun at the same time. Sessions will be offered throughout the season as well as during Christmas Break and Spring Break.

Tawatinaw Valley Free Riders

Tawatinaw Valley Freeriders is a non-profit club with the vision of promoting lifelong family sport through freestyle skiing.  Our club provides coaching which allows children to further develop their skiing skills while introducing them to the sport.​​

Ski Patrol

 The Canadian Ski Patrol is a great social organization and the perfect excuse to enjoy skiing and snowboarding on a regular basis. Ski patrollers come from diverse backgrounds. They are teachers, students, doctors, carpenters, retirees… you name it. Common interests are a passion for skiing and snowboarding and a desire to make a difference in their community.

The Westlock Nordic Ski Club runs a youth ski program that encourages fun and participation.

Evolution

Evo provides a safe venue for athletes to learn to master tricks before the winter season. Our non profit facility follows the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA) aerial regulations and qualifications manual ARQ) for sanctioning. Evo is an innovative facility that allows athletes to train year round to master skills in a safe environment to gain in flexibility and strength to prevent injury.

COLD WEATHER POLICY

In the event of extreme weather conditions, Tawatinaw Valley may limit some facility operations.  The decision to do so will be made on a daily basis according to the localized conditions at Tawatinaw Valley.  Our website and social media will be updated regarding operating status as available. 

The Temperature cutoff is “Feels Like -30°C” (including wind chill) anytime throughout operating hours.  Day passes, rentals, etc. cancelled due to cold weather closures will be rescheduled or refunded. 

For lesson programs the temperature cutoff is “Feels Like -25°C” (including wind chill), as many of our lessons are with young children.  Lessons cancelled due to cold weather closures will be rescheduled.
