Down hill skiing & snowboarding

Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill offers runs to suit everyone’s needs, from novice to advanced in both Alpine and Nordic.

Our beautiful ski hill spreads over 140 acres and offers 24 down hill runs. There are 2 T-bars and a conveyor lift which provide access to all downhill runs, the terrain park and the tube park. â€‹â€‹

Terrain Parks

We have Small, Medium and Large features for every skill level. If you are just starting out, we have a mini park to stoke your confidence and build your foundation.  For medium to large features you can check out our main park.​For those who crave a challenge, the main terrain park has “hits”, “rails”, and “funboxes”. The mini park has small features for those who are new to terrain parks.

Cross country skiing & snowshoe

Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill features over 15 kilometers of scenic trails, meticulously groomed for both classic and skate skiing to accommodate cross-country enthusiasts of all skill levels. Additionally, the hill offers more than 1.5 kilometers of snowshoe trails. Come out and enjoy the beautiful valley views while exploring our extensive network of trails!

Dog Policy

On our cross country trails, pet owners must have their pets under their control at all times and they must not enter the groomed alpine ski area or chalet.

Tubing

Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill offers the opportunity for some fast, flying fun! Tubing is a great way for the whole family to enjoy some outdoor fun. The tube park is serviced by our new Red Carpet conveyor lift, no more walking up the hill! Just grab one of our tubes and helmets and spend some time sliding down the hill!​​

Rules & regulations

  • Minimum Age and Height: Riders must be at least 4 years old and 42 inches tall to ride alone.

  • Young Children: Those aged 2-4 may ride with an adult.

  • Supervision: All small children must be supervised at all times.

  • Helmets: Mandatory for guests under 18 and recommended for adults. Personal winter sport helmets are permitted.

  • Footwear: Ski boots or hard-shelled boots are strictly prohibited.

  • Designated Area: Tubing is only allowed in the designated area on the south side of the red carpet. Access the tube run via the red carpet.

At the Bottom of the Run:

  • Check both ways when exiting the lanes.

  • Do not retrieve objects from lanes—please ask our staff for assistance.

  • Always follow the instructions given by Tawatinaw Valley staff.

While Tubing:

  • Ensure your helmet or hat is secured.

  • Sit upright and hold onto the handles.

  • Keep feet up and remain seated on your bottom.

  • Only one user per tube, except for children aged 2-4 who may ride with an adult.

Additional Safety Tips:

  • Walking paths may be slippery; winter footwear is strongly recommended.

  • Please walk carefully and avoid any horseplay.
